    I would probably use a different recipe since these will not have things like tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, maple syrup, garlic powder, dry mustard, or barbecue sauce and will lack flavor. 
  • How many cups of cooked beans does 1 cup of dry beans make?
    One cup dry = three cups cooked, drained beans. You can soak the dry beans overnight in a large bowl of water with a pinch of baking soda.
  • What’s the best way to reheat leftover baked beans?
    Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave. You may need to add a splash of water if the sauce of the baked beans is too thick.

  • 1 28-ounce can Bush’s Baked Beans Homestyle
  • 1 28-ounce can Bush’s Baked Beans Country Style
  • 1 24-ounce jar Pace Chunky Salsa, we like medium for a bit of a kick
  • 1 pound ground meat, browned and drained
  • 3 tablespoons applesauce

Instructions for our Baked Bean Recipe

1. Brown the meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat. Drain off excess fat.

2. Combine: In your slow cooker, combine the browned meat, beans, salsa, and apple sauce.

3. Cook:

  • Slow Cooker: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
