Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 package sweet Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices of cheese (your choice of cheddar cheese, American cheese slices, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions for Making Hawaiian Rolls Cheeseburger Sliders

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2. Combine the pound of ground beef, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl, and mix these ingredients together until thoroughly combined.

3. Over medium heat, warm up a large skillet. To the heated up skillet, add the ground beef mixture, and cook the ground beef mixture for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.

4. Once the ground beef mixture is completely browned and cooked, remove it from the heat and drain any excess fat.

5. Cut the sweet Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and then place the bottom half of the rolls on a baking sheet covered in aluminum foil or parchment paper.

6. Add the cooked ground beef mixture on top of the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish.

7. Add a layer of cheddar cheese or American cheese slices on top of the cooked ground beef mixture.

8. Place the top half of the rolls on top of the cheese. Using a pastry brush, spread the melted butter over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the tops of the rolls.

9. Bake the Hawaiian roll cheeseburger sliders in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

10. Once the Hawaiian roll cheeseburger sliders are golden brown, remove them from oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

11. Cut the ground beef sliders into individual sliders and serve them to your family, friends, hungry crowd, a large crowd on game day, or birthday party attendees with favorite sides of french fries or (my favorite) sweet potato fries and a pickle slice!

  • For a great make ahead meal, you can assemble, cover with foil and store the Hawaiian roll cheeseburger sliders in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to bake these easy Hawaiian roll sliders, just take off the foil and pop them in the oven!
  • These Hawaiian roll cheeseburger sliders can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

Variations for Hawaiian Rolls Cheeseburger Sliders:

  • BBQ Cheeseburger Sliders: Add BBQ sauce to the ground beef mixture instead of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Top the cooked beef with American cheese slices or cheddar cheese along with chopped crispy bacon. Drizzle more BBQ sauce on top of the sliders before putting on the top half of the rolls.
  • Bacon cheeseburger sliders (without the BBQ sauce): Add crispy bacon slices or bacon bits to the slider after adding in the cheese.
