7 Layer Greek Dip

A Mediterranean twist on the classic 7 layer taco dip, this easy 7 Layer Greek Dip recipe is one of our favorite party dips.

After developing and photographing this easy recipe, we ate it with our dinner. I made it again the next day with the rest of the ingredients that I had in the refrigerator because it was that good!

The best part is that all of these ingredients can be found at your local grocery store. It’s perfect for your next party.

7-layer Greek Dip Ingredients

  • 12 ounces hummus
  • 8 ounces tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup chopped, seeded cucumbers
  • 3/4 cup cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and halved
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Mediterranean flavors dry mix

Instructions

1. In serving dish or pie plate spread hummus dip.

2. On top of the hummus, spread the tzatziki sauce. The Tzatziki layer should not come all the way to the edge of the hummus since it will spread as it comes to room temperature.

3. Next layer the cucumbers (I used a layer of English cucumbers in the photos shown), the tomatoes, and the briny kalamata olives.

4. Sprinkle with feta cheese and then green onions.

5. Mix the olive oil with a teaspoon of our Mediterranean flavors dry mix. Drizzle over the top of the layered greek dip.

6. Serve with a bag of pita chips or your favorite fresh veggies, like carrots, broccoli or celery.

Variations for delicious options:

  • use regular or light cream cheese in place of the Greek hummus layer for a scrumptious cream cheese layer
  • use chopped red onion in place of the green onions
  • block feta is often sold in a salty brine that adds so much flavor – or add a little salt to the regular feta

Tips and Tricks

  • substitute diced Roma tomatoes for the cherry or grape tomatoes – just be sure to seed them first so that they are not too watery
