Easy Valentine’s Day Mini Cakes
When we say easy, we mean EASY PEASY! (another thing that we love about this recipe) Even better, these are darling to gift and who doesn’t love a delicious little mini cake?
Here’s where you need to pay attention. You are going to use a box cake mix, with a few substitutions.
- Substitute milk for water
- Substitute butter for oil
- Same amount of eggs

Ingredients for this Duncan Hines strawberry cake mix:
- Box Cake Mix
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 3 eggs
You still with me? That’s IT! Now you just mix it all together!

Bake in Wilton cupcake liners (tip, space them every other one to get the hot air to them and help them to bake evenly)

- Bake according to package directions.
- Cool
- Decorate with your favorite frosting. (I used frosting from the Walmart bakery, but you could leave that part out)

Everything you need to make these cute little cakes can be ordered online.
Here’s what we used:
Mini loaf pan with lid and spoon
Large Cookie Sheet
Metallic Valentine’s Day sprinkles
Red Sprinkles for hydrangea
“You’re Sweet” cupcake liner
Cupcake Pan
Valentine’s Day Ribbon
How fun and easy is this!? And think of all the smiles you put on their faces when you hand these out at your Valentine’s Day classroom party or office event? Also great for teens, bake sales or just gifting your one and only sweetheart. Yum! Happy Valentine’s Day!
