This Raspberry Vanilla Lemon Lime Dirty Soda Recipe is the absolute perfect way to welcome you back to Day 2 of our 30 Days of Dirty Sodas summer series!

If you tried yesterday’s strawberry peach creation, you already know how easy it is to skip the drive-thru lines and make a premium barista-style drink right in your own kitchen.
Today, we are playing with a flavor combination that balances bright, tart berry notes with a smooth, warm finish.
This recipe features a vibrant mix of sweet raspberry and rich vanilla syrups layered into a crisp lemon-lime soda base. To make it “dirty,” we are topping it off with a float of rich heavy cream. As the cream slowly swirls down into the bubbly, bright red soda, it creates a gorgeous marble effect that looks just as good as it tastes.
It is the perfect sweet-and-tart afternoon pick-me-up to sip on while you finish up your inbox tasks or sit out on the porch after a busy day.
Why This Recipe Works
Sometimes, all-berry sodas can lean a bit too sweet. By using a lemon-lime soda as our base, the crisp citrus naturally cuts through the sugar of the raspberry syrup. Adding a touch of vanilla syrup is the real secret weapon here; it mellows out the sharp tartness of the berry and bridges the gap between the fizzy soda and the rich heavy cream. It ends up tasting like a high-end raspberry cream soda with a refreshing twist.

As a business owner and mom, I am all about maximizing efficiency and minimizing cleanup. You don’t need a fancy countertop pebble ice maker to create these beautiful layered drinks at home; your everyday kitchen ice cubes work flawlessly.
To keep your home soda bar running smoothly, here are the essential tools I recommend keeping on hand:
- Precision Measuring Jigger: When you are working with bold flavors like raspberry and vanilla, getting the ratio right matters. A double-sided jigger ensures you get the exact fractions of an ounce without the guesswork.
- Long-Stemmed Mixing Spoon: This is essential for getting all the way to the bottom of a tall glass to fully incorporate the syrups into the carbonated soda before you add the dairy.
- 16-Ounce Glass and Glass Straw: A standard can of soda is 12 ounces, so once you add your ice, 2 full ounces of syrup, and a heavy cream float, you need a glass that holds at least 16 to 20 ounces to prevent any messy overflows.

Smart Ingredient Swaps & Shortcuts
- The Soda Base: I love using a cold can of Lemon Lime Poppi prebiotic soda for this recipe. However, if you want a traditional full-sugar option, a classic can of Sprite or 7UP will give you that exact same crisp citrus base.
- The Syrups: Torani and Monin both make fantastic raspberry and vanilla syrups. If you want to make a guilt-free, low-sugar version, simply swap them out for their sugar-free counterparts.
- The Cream: This recipe uses pure heavy whipping cream for the ultimate rich, slow-pouring float. If you want a slightly lighter everyday version, half-and-half works beautifully. For a dairy-free shortcut, vanilla oat milk creamer adds a great flavor boost and texture.
Day 2 of 30: Raspberry Vanilla Lemon Lime Dirty Soda Recipe
Day 2 of our Dirty Soda series is a gorgeous Raspberry Vanilla Lemon Lime Dirty Soda. Crisp citrus meets sweet berry, rich vanilla, and smooth heavy cream.
Ingredients
- 1 can (12 oz) Lemon Lime Poppi Prebiotic Soda (Alternative: Sprite, 7UP, or Starry)
- 1.5 oz Raspberry Syrup (approx. 3 tablespoons)
- 0.5 oz Vanilla Syrup (approx. 1 tablespoon)
- 2 oz Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 cup Ice cubes
Instructions
- Prep the Glass: Fill your favorite 16-ounce or larger clear glass about halfway with standard kitchen ice cubes.
- Layer the Syrups: Measure and pour 1.5 ounces of raspberry syrup and 0.5 ounces of vanilla syrup directly over the ice.
- Pour the Soda Base: Slowly pour the entire 12-ounce can of lemon-lime soda into the glass. Take your long-stemmed stirring spoon and gently blend from the bottom up until the syrups are completely integrated into the soda.
- Add the Dirty Element: Gently pour the 2 ounces of heavy whipping cream directly over the top of the ice cubes. Pouring it slowly over an ice cube helps the cream sit on top initially, creating a beautiful layered look.
- Serve: Insert a glass straw, watch the cream cascade down into the bright red soda, and enjoy immediately!
